Vitix Regulating Gel is a non-greasy gel formulated to regulate the depigmented areas of the face and body of people with Vitiligo. It features a totally innovative mechanism of action thanks to a patented plant extract rich in Catalase + SOD, which helps to restore the physiological balance of free radicals in the epidermis, protecting cells from the oxidative stress known to be the cause of Vitiligo.

Its formula, which is well tolerated by the skin and has no side effects, contains microbeads, imperceptible to the touch, which enclose and protect the plant complex. When applied, the temperature and pressure of the finger break the microbeads, releasing the active ingredient.

Vitix depigmentation regulating gel is applied 1 to 2 times a day to depigmented areas and their surroundings, over a period of 4 to 6 months. It can be used in conjunction with UVB phototherapy to improve skin repigmentation results.

The efficacy of Vitix gel has been demonstrated by two clinical studies carried out by Laboratoire ACM:

- the first on 17 patients after 6 months of twice-daily use, in addition to UVB phototherapy sessions (1)

- the second on 20 patients after 4 months of daily use, in addition to a heliotherapy protocol (exposure to natural UV rays) (2)

In both cases, Vitix Gel increased by a factor of 2 the number of subjects with more than 50% repigmentation versus placebo (1)(2). These two studies therefore demonstrate that using Vitix Gel as a complement to phototherapy or heliotherapy enables more intense repigmentation to be achieved than with therapy alone.

The first study (1) also showed that over 50% of patients who responded to treatment with faster repigmentation when Vitix Gel Regulator was used.

(1) Study of the efficacy of VITIX Gel regulator on the reduction of lesional plaque by planimetric analysis under UV light in17 patients for 6 months - A. KEMIS, J.P.ORTONNE (2) Study of the combination of VITIX Gel Regulating and heliotherapy in 20 patients for 4 months demonstrating efficacy on skin repigmentation - Y. GAUTHIER

Patented plant extract: This patented melon extract is concentrated in Catalase and SOD to improve the physiological balance of free radicals and protect cells against the oxidative stress known to cause Vitiligo. SOD is the most powerful primary antioxidant known, and its effectiveness is enhanced by the presence of Catalase.

FAQs

Vitiligo is a condition during which, most of the time, repigmentation in areas which have lost their pigmentation may be achieved. Patients must follow their Dermatologist's recommendations.

Treatment often takes a long time.

ViTiX® can help whith rapid repigmentation if used over a period of deveral months and as advised by your dermatologist.

That depends on the patient, the type of vitiligo, individual physiological factors, and the degree to which the patient observes the posology. In our experience, results may be obtained with ViTiX® from the 2nd month of use onwards.

There are three types of repigmentation:

- uniform and progressive repigmentation.

- concentric repigmentation, which begins around the edges of the area which has lost its pigmentation.

- "confetti" repigmentation, which begins in the pilosebaceous follicles. This produces coloured marks, which gradually come together, resulting in complete repigmentation.

On your doctor's advice you may expose your skin to the sun in moderation, or as prescribe by your doctor.

You can put on makeup in areas affected by vitiligo with no problem, provided that you apply your treatment regularly and constantly. Choose your makeup carefully according to the characteristics of your vitiligo and the aesthetic results obtained.

You can use our product Viticolor to obtain long-lasting camouflage (3 to 4 days).

ViTiX® must be applied twice a day in combination with phototherapy or heliotherapy, morning and evening, to skin cleaned in advance and free of makeup.

ViTiX® Gel is only recommended for adults.
